How can I reduce my energy use?
- Energy saving tips
Check out energy saving tips on Eversource's website and on the City of Boston's website.
- No-Cost Energy Audit (1-4 unit homes/buildings, renters or landlords)
If you rent or own a home/apartment in a one- to four-unit building, you can sign up for a free home energy audit through the City of Boston's Renew Boston program.
- No-Cost Energy Visit (5+ unit homes/buildings, landlords and condo associations)
If you own a building or live in a condo association with 5+ units, you can get a no-cost, no-obligation energy visit from a Mass Save Certified Energy Specialist to find out about discounts available for upgrading your building.
- Support for Low-Income Households
ABCD (Action for Boston Community Development)provides fuel help, no-cost insulation, and heating system upgrades for those who qualify. The program runs from November 1st through April 30th. Find out more or call ABCD at 617-357-6012 or 617-348-6411.
- Support for Elders
The Boston Home Center works with several neighborhood agencies that can assist with applying for minor to larger repairs for home of elder homeowners. They offer zero percent-interest (0%), deferred loans for those who qualify. Learn more.
